Looking for a unique way to get your kids interested in classical music appreciation? Try one of my “back door” courses. These classes are designed to engage kids in classical music through making connections with other subjects.
A Kid’s Guide to Classical Music in Nature was designed with kids in mind … simple plot summaries, easy-to-follow listening tips, and a fun exercise called musical sketching to help children enjoy the music in a more engaged way. Using nature as a jumping-off point is a fun way to get kids thinking about classical music in a different way.
What’s included in this online course:
- Five engaging lessons covering great pieces of classical music that have a connection to nature. Mountains, seas, storms, bugs – and the great outdoors! This course covers a lot of ground (literally!).
- Bonus Content, including subject integration activities to help you seamlessly wed music appreciation with other subjects beyond nature studies.
- Printable resources including a listening checklist, musical sketching pages, and the course content in a downloadable PDF (if you’d rather learn from paper instead of a screen).
Your one-time tuition gives you immediate access to all this content PLUS five live Zoom classes where Kristi will unpack the content for your kids in an engaging way. Classes will take place five consecutive Tuesdays from April 13th – May 11th. Classes are at 10:00 am (MOUNTAIN TIME) and last between 30-45 minutes.
